Politicians work for us and we should supervise them as such. There is too little transparency and too much spin in local politics. Lets keep it simple. Thanks to the Sunlight Foundation's opencongress.org you can easily track your Senator's votes & bills. I'm going to help you get started.
I've gone ahead & created Senator widgets for Texas, Michigan & Mass. Just click "get widget" box newt to his or her name. It took me less than 5 minutes to create each of these widgets. I'm going to give you step by step instructions on how you can do it in 2 minutes.
Step 1)
Find your Senator or Representative.
Step 2)
At the top of each politicians is an orange feed button. Click it.
Step 3)
Copy the feed's URL.
Step 4)
Go to Widgetbox.com Select Create Blidget
Step 5)
Paste feed into blidget pop up & customize.
Your done. Now add your "favorite" Politician to your facebook page, myspace or so on.
If your looking just to track & not share. I recommend going to your your Senator or Representatives page & selecting one of the options below:
